CHEMICAL INDUSTRY Enercon systems speed batch process times and maintain hotter temperatures in product lines A chemical plant conversion to the Enercon system will typically reduce the high steam requirement batch process time by 8 to 10%. Regulated ramp-up time will not be affected. On tracer lines, plants will see improved heat transfer over longer distances with a permanent condensate removal system, keeping product lines hotter than with a mechanical trapping system. This is because the venturi condensate removal units are continuous flow with no mechanism to stop the flow. The permanent condensate removal system has been used in industries with low and high-pressure steam. Plants will see consistent fuel savings of 10 to 25% for trapped steam consumption, a reduction in condensate problems, and the elimination of steam trap repair and replacement.
